(13) Geraldine Ferraro v. (4) Michele Bachmann
What to watch for: Minnesota’s Rep. Bachmann, who has been anything but shy about her presidential ambitions, looks to flex her muscles against the trailblazer that helped make it possible—Geraldine Ferraro, America’s first female Vice-Presidential candidate for a major party. Tea Party darling Bachmann is known for her outspoken and controversial style, but New Yorker Gerry is no shrinking violet. Ferraro may nevertheless have difficulty maintaining composure as Michele Bachmann’s Tea Party supporters might be planning something special in Tulsa on Friday afternoon. Something tells me they don't care much for the old-guard big-government liberal.
Who will win: Representative Michele Bachmann.
(9) Maria Cantwell v. (8) Chelsea Clinton
What to watch for: Maria Cantwell and Chelsea Clinton are both ugly ducklings. Chelsea Clinton quite literally transformed from America’s Homeliest Pre-Teen into a beautiful young woman who dazzled in our nation’s answer to a Royal wedding last summer. More figuratively, Sen. Cantwell began as a political ugly duckling, winning her inaugural race for the U.S. Senate by just 0.1%. She has since turned into something of a swan for West Coast Democrats, winning quite comfortably in 2006. There is no bad blood between these ladies, but watch for a hard-fought battle between these two birds looking to prove they’ve shed their matted gray down.
Who will win: Former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton.
(16) Katherine Harris v. (1) Condoleezza Rice
What to watch for: Honestly, not much in the way of competition as Condi is expected to trounce Former Florida Secretary of State and failed candidate for U.S. Senate Katharine Harris. I’ll be tuning in, however, to see if Ms. Harris still looks like this. You paid a whole $2.99 for that lipstick? Now that calls for a recount, girl!
Who will win: Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
